A final exit visa ends a resident’s stay in Saudi Arabia. It is issued through Absher or Muqeem, has a departure deadline shown on the visa, and cannot be used to return on the same Iqama.

Steps

  1. Settle your position. Make sure fines and dues are paid and that the employer agrees where required.
  2. Issue the visa. The employer issues it in Muqeem, or you request it in Absher if available to you.
  3. Note the deadline. Read the departure date on the visa.
  4. Leave before the deadline. Keep the visa copy and your passport ready at the airport.

Common mistakes

  • Taking a final exit when an exit re-entry visa was enough.
  • Leaving unpaid fines or dues that can cause problems if you want to come back on a new visa.
  • Missing the departure date shown on the visa.

Questions

What is a final exit visa?

A permit to leave Saudi Arabia permanently. It ends your residency and is different from an exit re-entry visa.

Who can issue it?

Employers issue it through Muqeem or Absher Business, and some workers can request it in Absher depending on their status.

What should I do before leaving?

Settle dues, pay any fines, return company property and keep a copy of the final exit confirmation.

How long do I have to leave?

The departure window is set by Jawazat. Check the date on your visa in Absher; this page does not state a number because it has not been confirmed.
